The use of Artificial Intelligence in Business

Hello bloggers I am back with my final blog ☹ , I know some of you will be really upset by that news! Today I’m talking about the use of AI in businesses in the modern day, so let’s begin: The use of AI has become increasingly popular and hot topic in terms of some concerns that can arise from it. However, many businesses are using AI to improve their business and make themselves more technologically advanced.           One of the ways in which businesses use AI is through chatbots. According to a Forbes Advisor survey, over 73% of businesses use or plan to use AI- powered chatbots for instant messaging. This can help build customer relationships as they could potentially have any problem, they have solved at any time of the day with 24-hour assistance. An example of a chat-based system would be ChatGPT which can give you answers to a statement you tell it to do, however it can’t make emotional decisions.           Another popul...

3 examples of companies that used Enterprise Applications successfully to support their business strategy and business model.

Hello bloggers! Today I'm discussing companies who have used enterprise applications successfully.

There are several companies who have used Enterprise applications successfully which I have listed below:

1.      Starbucks

Starbucks is a global retailer of whole bean and ground coffee, speciality coffee drinks, tea and ready to eat sandwiches and baked goods. Starbucks uses Oracle ERP which is a cloud based software solution used to automate back-office processes and day-to-day business activities. It’s a business management software suite that includes financial management, supply chain management, project management, accounting, and procurement (Bischoff, 2023). Starbucks uses a chain business model where its revenue comes from company operated stores followed by licensed stores. The benefits Starbucks has seen using this ERP system is that they can easily get access to information on revenue, expenses, sales data, inventory management and operations updates.

2.      Amazon

Amazon is an online retailer and web service provider. Amazon's business model is based on the Internet and e-commerce, with its own logistics system, and any person or company, large or small, can sell their products through a platform that is 100% optimized and simple to use, where you can manage everything related to your account, brand, and product. Amazon's core strategy is to provide a vast selection of products with efficient order fulfilment and exceptional customer service.  Amazon uses an ERP software called System Analysis and Program Development (SAP). SAP creates a centralized system for businesses that enables every department to access and share common data to create a better work environment for every employee in the company (Lombardi,2023). SAP is the global leader in business software which would have been one of the reasons Amazon chose SAP. Amazon's core strategy is to provide a vast selection of products with efficient order fulfilment and exceptional customer service. The implementation of SAP has helped Amazon manage their logistical business needs, order management, sales, human resources, and finances.

3.      Toyota

Toyota is a multinational automotive manufacturer company. Toyotas business model is based on product distinctiveness and a high level of quality, emphasizing individuals with significant buying power (Vizologi, 2023). Toyotas strategy believes that the role of purchasing should be long term at the lowest price and no compromise on the production of quality products. The system that Toyota use is Microsoft Dynamics 365 which helps manage the after sales service skills and operations for distributors offering services to their products to customers all over the world. This system has helped Toyota as it allows them to view opportunities for sales, budget information, and see timelines easily.
