The use of Artificial Intelligence in Business
Hello fellow bloggers, today I will be discussing why Ireland is a good place to do business.
There are a number of reasons why Ireland is a good place to do business and here are some of the reasons:
1. Labour Force
Ireland has a very skilled labour force, according to Social Justice(2023) Irelands workforce is almost 2.7 million people, meaning there is a large workforce to chose from when selecting employees. This labour force is also skilled as according to CSO(2022) 56.2% of people aged between 15 to 39 have a third level qualification.
2. Low Corporate Tax
Ireland has one of the lowest corporate tax rates in the world with a rate of only 12.5%, with the EU average being 20%. This means companies get more of a tax relief in Ireland and save more money making it more of an attractive place to do business.
3. English Speaking
Ireland is one of the only countries in the EU who are English speaking. This is attractive for businesses as it can open a wider market to enter to do business in such as the USA. English is seen as the global language of Business.
4. Member of the EU
Ireland being a member of the EU can be a benefit for businesses as it can make it easier to business with other EU countries and there will be minimal tax and tariff on goods being imported and exported, also being in the EU helps with source things as there are several options with the number of countries being members.
5. Advanced Technology
Ireland is one of the leading countries when it comes to achievements in science and technology and dominating the global stage in terms of research and tech advancements, (3EAccounting,2022), with a big example being the investment of big tech companies in data centers in Ireland.
6. Research and Development
According to Robert Nathan(2023), In Ireland a company can avail of a 25% tax credit against their current year corporation tax liability. The credit available is available to those companies engaged in in- house qualifying research and development activities, including plant, machinery and buildings.
7. Low Unemployment
Rate
Ireland has a very low unemployment rate with the unemployment rate in the month of August 2023 being just 4.3%, (Statista,2023). This shows people are keen to work in Ireland and there should be no problems employing people.
8.
Growing Economy
Ireland has
a growing economy over the last number of years with more and more businesses
and people investing in Ireland making it more of a hub for businesses to grow
and develop.
9. Number

There are a
number of support programmes and start up funding options available for new
businesses in Ireland with them being one of the highest in terms of level of
funding and grants available compared to international standards.
10. Great
Place to Live
Ireland is generally just a good place to live with good opportunities for businesses and a family friendly environment.
